More than 30 youngsters joined together at old Memorial Stadium July 14-16 as Dublin Youth Football League held a free football and cheer camp in preparation of the upcoming season.
The children in the cheer team learned chants and how to catch air in their jumps while the older players worked on running, passing and catching drills. The youngest football prospects got prepped for the flag season by running the ball past a player without getting a flag on their belt snatched.
Tackle practice started this Monday and the deadline to register is Monday, July 28.
Members of the organization were on hand at Dairy Queen Tuesday, July 22 to sign kids up for flag football and cheer. The DYFL crew will also be at Dublin Elementary on Aug. 7 during Meet The Teacher Night for those who missed those opportunities.
