Dublin reportedly collected nearly 20 percent more in sales tax returns for July than last year.
The totals were released as part of the monthly sales tax totals reported by the office of Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar.
Hegar announced on July 8 he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $893.2 million in local sales tax allocations for July, 20 percent more than in July 2020.
These allocations are based on sales made in May by businesses that report tax monthly.
The new collections bring Dublin’s year-to-date collections up to $342,965.01, 14.82 percent higher than the same point in 2020 ($298,594.45).
