Dublin Garden Club learns Revolution Garden Method

Body

The Dublin Garden Club held our monthly meeting November 12th in the home of Janice Reeder. Sylvia Evans was co-hostess.

Our program was presented by Denise Weems on The Revolution Garden Method. This is a book of instruction that can be purchased online.

This method promotes raised beds and hydroponics. This method uses a fraction of the water required by regular in-ground watering. The bottom layer is the reservoir of water that moves up thru tubing. Next is the PH neutral layer, i.e. river rock. Next, screening fittings to insure the system does not clog. Next is weed fabric. Finally the potting soil to match the type of plants to be planted. It was very informative as we look for ways to conserve water.

Our December meeting is our Christmas party. If you would like more information, please contact President Mary Howard at 254-9773686.
