Dublin FFA has been grabbing several medals over the spring season so far amidst a multitude of top 10 finishes.

Below is a list of Dublin FFA students and teams who have finished in third place or better.

Entemology

Entomology won the Blanco Scholarship Career and Leadership Development Event with Mariana Ortiz winning 1st high individual. She also claimed a $3,000 scholarship as the highest placing senior in the contest. David Greene placed 2nd and Alma Holguin placed 5th individually. Other teammates were Anabel Phelps, NavaLee White and Hunter Johnson.

The team also placed first in the Clarendon contest and Canyon FFA (where Ortiz took first place medals), Jack County (where Green placed 2nd), and Texas Farm, Ranch, & Wildlife Expo judging contests in Abilene (where Green placed 1st and Phelps placed 2nd).

The team also placed second at Anson (where Green got 1st and Phelps placed 3rd) and. They also claimed third at the Cisco College CDE (where Greene placed 1st and Phelps got 3rd) and West Texas A&M (where Ortiz placed 1st with a perfect score). Team members also included Aryka Standridge and Jayden Rojas in previous events.

Cotton Judging The Dublin FFA Cotton tied for 3rd place out of 36 teams in Sweetwater on March 28. Team members were: Maryli Garcia, Dominic Dominguez, Bailey Watson and Candy Rodriguez.

The Cotton team has also placed first in Anson (where Dominguez placed 1st individually), second at the Texas Farm, Ranch, & Wildlife Expo judging contests, and third at the Jack County and Parker County judging contests. (Teammates in previous events also included Skyler Morones, Edwin Nevarez and Kenli Roberson.

Milk Quality

The Milk Quality Team of Paul Adams, Jayden Rojas, Vanessa Pantoja, Jena Sorrells, Aiden Bushman and Tatum Babkowski placed second in competition at Decatur Wednesday, March 27. The team previously got gold at the Texas Farm, Ranch and Wildlife Expo judging contests (where Adams placed first individually).

Wool Judging

The Wool Team of Jackie Gibson, Rosie Perez and Juhl Sorrells claimed second at the Texas Farm, Ranch and Wildlife Expo judging contests.

Home Site

Paige Wilson also placed high individually as part of the home site team of David Hernandez, Jackie Gibson and Silvestre Ramirez. Wilson got third place finishes at the Tarleton State Judging Contests (after a six-way battle for second place) and Cisco College CDEs.
