His name is Steven Thomas but most know him as Dr. Bill since he sees to the health of all manner of small engines.
Thomas is the owner of Dr. Bill’s Outdoor Supply which held a grand opening celebration to mark its move from Stephenville to 14767 S. US Hwy 377.
The business offers a large line of outdoor power products such as Gravely, Ariens, CF Moto, TYM Tractors, Delco Trailers & Xon Trailers and Maruyama to make outdoor living even better.
Visitors who remember the building as the old F&F Flooring may not recognize it as it has been expanded in the transition, allowing Dr. Bill and crew to service all sizes of equipment through the large drive-through shop in the back while offering increased inventory in the front.
Although the building may be new, the 56-year-old business has been serving the community since original owner Bill Chew started working on lawnmowers in 1965-1966.
Thomas aims to offer his customers a full-service experience they can’t get from chain retailers, saying the business can teach customers how to use equipment and offer regular maintenance.
Thomas also said they can offer a free first-time ‘consultation’ on some equipment problems and try to turn most jobs around in two weeks.
Thomas also pointed out that customers can text the business from their website, which will often respond after-hours.
Dr. Bill’s aims to work with customers’s wallets, offering financing, including 0 percent on some equipment.
