Dublin missed a white Christmas by a week as snow began falling on the night of Jan. 31, blanketing the town in white as the community celebrated the arrival of 2021. Flakes continued to fall well into the night with the town receiving a reported 4.5 inches of snow. (See rain and snow reports for the local are on A4.)

Those traveling Dublin streets on New Year’s Day could see the town’s appreciation as many snowmen were made around town and residents bundled up to take in the unusual winter weather that lasted until late in the afternoon when it began to melt.
