DISD treats teachers to breakfast, spree

Dublin ISD administration and Dublin community members welcomed new and returning teachers back to school with a special breakfast on Aug. 4. Following the meal, the 2021 Lion Heart winners were announced as teachers instrumental in Dublin ISD beating the state average in many STAAR scores including: 3rd grade Math & Reading-Leslee Chapman, Brandy Carr, Kylee Harris and Jessica Criswell; 6th grade Math-Kathy Sherrard and Shelby Tankersley; High School US History-Christopher Duke and High School Biology-Tyler Sattler. Teachers were presented with another surprise as each was give a $100 gift card to Wal-Mart and met up at the store to spend the credit on items for their classes.
