The Dublin ISD School Board approved contracts, increasing pays for substitute teachers and the purchase of equipment during its regular meeting which was rescheduled to Feb. 22 due to the Presidents’ Day holiday.

In a 6-0 vote (Raymond Salinas was absent) and following discussion in executive session, the board voted to approve all term and probationary contracts presented including teachers, coaches, assistant band director, nurse, educational diagnostician, VICOMS and athletic trainer.

This vote followed the unanimous approval of increasing substitute teacher pay by $1 per hour. This increases the rate to $10 per hour for noncertified subs and $12 for certified substitute teachers.

The board also unanimously approved a contract for 18 HVAC rooftop units with Stephenville Heating and Air. The district will reportedly start with the replacement of units at the elementary school since those are the oldest.
