Skeeter the Clown was in Dublin Monday promoting the appearance of the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus set for Thursday, March 24 at Dublin City Park. The appearance is sponsored by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce. The public is invited to come witness the raising of the big top at 9:30 a.m. followed by a living history tour. Both of these morning events are free for spectators. Skeeter, a seasoned veteran of the clowning arts for several decades, reported that the evening shows at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. will be 90 minutes of fun and excitement including low-wire acts, the ‘wheel of destiny,’ animal acts with lions and a tiger and presentation from a man who manages a cockatoo rescue. Advance tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids while prices will increase to $15 for adults and $8 for kids at the gate. For more information and a coupon for $1 off a pony ride, see the ad on page A7. For more information on the circus, visit cmcircus.com. Paul Gaudette | Citizen staff photo
