Gratitude is filling the air as the Dublin Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its annual banquet set for November and is asking the community to get involved.
Nominees are being sought for its annual awards and people are encouraged to email chamberpresident@dublintxchamber.com with a suggestion for any or all of the following nominations with a brief reason for their selection. Nominations will be reviewed by the chamber banquet event committee and approved by the Chamber of Commerce board of Directors. Winners will be announced during the Gratitude banquet Nov. 12 at Dublin High School.
Nominations are being sought in the following categories:
• Citizen of the Year
• Business Leader of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• BillieKlosterAmbassador Award (An award for someone whose “reach” is much wider than the community. This is someone who has access to lots of people in other places and uses that access to promote outside the community.)
• Faith in the Future of Dublin (for a person or business that has made a major investment in the Dublin community based on their belief the Dublin is where they need to be to succeed. Traditionally this has been a new business or business expansion.)
Kenneth McDaniel “Hello My Friend” award (An award for someone whose outgoing personality makes Dublin a better place to live) Footprint award (an award for someone who passed in the past year and left a lasting legacy on the Dublin community) New this year, the chamber is also seeking input for Teacher of the Year, Firefighter/EMS of the Year and Police Officer of the Year.
