Mary and Eddie Howard are celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary this month. They were married in Stephenville, Dec. 20, 1963 in the Oak Dale Methodist Church. Mary told the newspaper it had snowed most of the day and was a beautiful white night with a full moon. Some guests could not come because of so much ice and snow, and Hwy. 377 from Fort Worth had to be closed. The family is inviting everyone to celebrate Mary’s 80th birthday and the couple’s 61st wedding anniversary from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 at Greens Creek Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. No presents are requested. The church is located at 1263 CR 380 in Dublin.
