The Dublin Historical Museum drew a large crowd Saturday, May 9 as it celebrated the 100th anniversary of the city laying its first brick streets. Visionary Leaders of Dublin awards were presented to the Leatherwood and Bradberry families recognizing family members (Clarence Leatherwood and J.W. Bradberry) who had a hand in the historic event a century ago. Guests also got to enjoy a table of colorful and tasty treats and compete in finding all the 100-year-old items on display which were tagged for the event. Lee Leatherwood acted as master of ceremony for the celebration while Ben Pate presented the awards on behalf of the museum. Bob Earl delivered the invocation. Drawings were also held for gift certificates and cash. (Photos by Paul Gaudette/Dublin Citizen)
