CTFAC bringing back Ragin’ Cajun

The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council is excited to welcome back its annual RAGIN’ CAJUN Crawfish Boil & Silent Auction Fundraiser-Saturday, March 27, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at City Limits in Stephenville.

The event will feature a bunch of fun, food & live Zydeco music! All proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit the Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council, allowing us to continue providing art, art related events & activities to our local area as well as surrounding counties, often at little to no charge to the public.

Heath & Safety protocols will be in place at the event. “To Go” orders will also be available for purchase on a first come/first serve basis.

Individual tickets are $100 each; Reserved tables $750 each.

Paluxy River advocacy Center throwing Cinderella Ball

The Paluxy River Children’s Advocacy Center is inviting the community to join them in their annual gala. on Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is a Cinderella Ball with the event being held at La Bella Luna in Granbury.

The magical evening will include dinner, drinks, and live music provided by Boomtown. There will also be live and silent auction items. The proceeds from the Cinderella Ball will be used to provide essential services to abused children in our community.

The center has been promoting the healing of child abuse victims in Hood, Somervell, and Erath counties since 2006.

Individual tickets are $150 and sold on a first come, first served basis. Table sponsorship range from $1,000 to $5,000 with upper options including more seats and recognition of support.

The PRCAC serves abused children and supportive family members, helping children move from hurting to healing to thriving.

DISD combining March/Feb. school board meetings

Dublin ISD has decided to combine the February and March school board meetings into one meeting due to calendar conflicts and COVID reasons. The meeting will be held March 1 at 7 p.m.
