Dublin Buying Pool seeks support
With the 2021 Erath County Junior Livestock Show fast approaching, letters were recently sent out asking for contributions to the
Dublin junior livestock buying pool.
Every year, the county stock show offers a chance for youth to showcase all their hard work in training, feeding and grooming their livestock.
The show this year will include extra guidelines and scheduling considerations to ensure that social distancing requirements are met (See the stock show story on Page 9 for more details.)
To make sure the exhibitors are properly rewarded, the buying pool helps Dublin youth fetch a good price for their animals during the auction that follows the judging.
The greater the amount of donations, the more students the buying pool can benefit.
Anyone wishing to donate to the cause can send a donation to: Dublin Buying Pool, c/o M&M Service Station, 304 E. Blackjack St., Dublin, TX 76446. Names of donators will be printed in the newspaper, but donation amounts will kept confidential.
The stock show will be held Jan. 5 through Jan. 9. The sale will be at 6 p.m. on Jan. 9. All supporters are encouraged to attend.
