BREAKING: Investigation underway after armed robbery, pursuit

Three juvenile males that escaped from a Hood County Juvenile Detention Center committed an armed robbery at Dublin One Stop located at 202 S. Patrick overnight.

According to information released by Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray, around 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 three black juvenile males escaped the detention center by injuring a guard. The guard was airlifted due to the severity of the injuries. One of the juveniles was being held on murder charges, Ray said.

The juveniles stole an unlocked vehicle nearby which had a pistol in it. A long gun was located nearby and also taken.

Around 10:30 p.m. police received a 911 call that an armed robbery had just occurred at One Stop in Dublin. Cash, the employee's cell phone and tobacco products were stolen. No one was injured.

Putting out information about the vehicle to other agencies, Stephenville Police Department located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop, and a pursuit began up Hwy 281. The suspects wrecked out and fled on foot near Morgan Mill.

A unified command was set up with Dublin PD, DPS, Parks and Wildlife, Hood County Sheriff's Office, Granbury PD, Stephenville PD, Constable Precinct 1, DPS Air and tracking canines working to locate the subjects.

Morgan Mill ISD was locked down this morning as a precautionary measure and then school was canceled for the day.

The suspects fled into the DFW area, and there is no further threat to those in Erath County.
