The Dublin Masonic Lodge 504 honored lifelong resident Paul Bradberry with Community Builder Award Saturday, Feb. 15 for his years of service to his friends and neighbors.
Following a meal for the masons and guests in attendance, the lodge convened and introduced Bradberry as the owner of Bradberry’s Best for the past 35 years who has actively served the Dublin community as a city councilmember for nine years, Chamber of Commerce board member for six years and current president of the Economic Development Corporation.
Paul is the husband of Terah and father of Brittney, Zachary, Colton and Mathew, all of whom were present to share in the special moment.
“I want to thank everybody here tonight,” said Paul after he received the award from Worshipful Master Steven Marks and Senior Deacon Noah Cullis. “Dublin has been so good for me and my family; I’m a fourth generation [resident].”
Bradberry said he is grateful to God for the blessings he’s had in his life and his family for their support.
The floor was turned to comments from masons and guests who remarked that the distinction is recognized in all the other Masonic lodges and that Bradberry is an ideal candidate for community builder for his devotion to the community and helping others in it. Several also stated their appreciation of Bradberry’s Best for filling the community’s needs and always offering a pleasant shopping experience.
Cullis, who also serves as EDC executive director, echoed the other’s sentiments saying he was well deserving of the award and that it was a privilege and honor to work with him on the EDC.
Marks closed the proceedings, saying the selection seemed obvious when he was told of the nomination since the ‘Bradberry name was always something people talked highly of’ and thanking his family for supporting him as he served the community.
