Bosque Chapter attends state DRT convention

Four members of the Bosque River Chapter just returned from the131st convention of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas held in Austin on May 26-28. While there the chapter was awarded the highest award, Six Stars, for completing such projects as donating books about Texas history to local schools, presenting programs to other organizations or schools about Texas history, distributing cards with the Pledge to the flag of Texas, and increasing membership. Another award recognized the chapter for gaining at least 5% new members. Chapter member Judith Moore D’Amico will be sworn inas the new representative for District 2 of DRT which stretches from Wichita Falls to Brownwood and includes the Bosque River Chapter in Stephenville.
