Donna Gibson art on display in DeLeon
Some of the art created by Donna Gibson will be exhibited at the DeLeon Area Historical Museum from November 13 through 23. She was an artist of many talents - oil, water color, photography and miniatures. She, also, was a teacher to help others use their talent.
Donna was originally from Ohio where she studied at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the Cooper School of Art. She came to Kerrville then to DeLeon in 1987, continuing to create and participating in shows throughout the United States.
She was a member of the DeLeon Art Association and the Brownwood Art Association.
One form of art for which Donna was noted was her miniature art. She created tiny paintings, hand-painted pewter pets, accessories, etc. for adult doll house collectors. These were sold internationally, some being marketed in Paris, France.
The exhibit will be available for viewing during Museum hours: Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The museum is located at 173 N Texas Street in DeLeon.
