DISD to honor veterans
Dublin ISD will be honoring veterans Monday, Nov. 11 at the High School.
If you are a veteran and would like to be involved in the Veterans Day Program, call Mrs. Teten at the high school (254-445-0362) by Wednesday, Nov. 6.
ECGS to offer lecture Thursday, Nov. 7
Dublin Public Library and Erath County Genealogical Society invite you to hear Mary Jo Kenny speak at the library at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7.
Mary Jo will share the saga of the Kenny and Colwell families who settled Texas in the early 1800s, and how they came to make Erath County their home. Her account of family history offers insight to life in Texas in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
Comanche museum to host veterans day luncheon
The Comanche County Museum is excited to invite the community to a Veterans Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10. This heartfelt event honors local veterans and their families with a meal and a celebration of their service.
Indulge in a menu featuring classic beef pot roast, generously supplied by Artesian Ranch, LLC, complemented by potatoes, carrots, onions, celery, and bacon-infused green beans. There will also be hot dogs for the kids, along with a variety of fresh salads, drinks, and homemade desserts. This luncheon is the perfect opportunity to gather with friends, family, and fellow community members.
"We invite everyone to come and celebrate our veterans," said Bobby Lane, President of the Comanche County Historical Museum. "This luncheon is not just about the food; it’s about recognizing the sacrifices made by those who have served our country."
This event operates on a donation-only basis, and any contributions are deeply appreciated to support future programs and initiatives at the museum.

Cemetery Walk set Nov. 3
Spirits of Erath County 15th annual Cemetery Walk will be occurring at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at West End Cemetery in Stephenville.
Walks are given for a $10 donation.
Spirits of Erath is co-sponsored by The Friends of the Dick Smith Library and The Stephenville Historical House Museum.

Donate unwanted candy for Easter
Got unwanted candy or maybe you got too much during Trick or Treating?
Drop off your candy at the Dublin Public Library for the community's Easter egg hunt hosted by Dairy Queen, the Dublin Citizen and CWJC in 2025. Candy will be securely stored until it's time to stuff eggs. Candy may be donated starting Nov. 1.
