United Way to offer fish fry fundraiser Aug. 14 Erath County United Way will be hosting a Fish Fry Fundraiser in conjunction with HEB.
The fish fry is $12 per ticket and will be held from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at Newman Hall in Stephenville. The meal is dine in or carry out, with pickup on Centennial Lane. The meal is being prepared by the Knights of Columbus and tickets are available at the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce and First Financial Bank, Texas Bank, First National Bank, Members Trust, Wellington State Bank, InterBank and F&M Bank. Plan on the Dublin Market, Aug. 17, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Wright Park. There will be a bunch of vendors—and some new ones. There’ll be produce, jams, jellies, salsas, and more. Fresh breads, cookies, and treats galore. Plus wearables, gift-ables, and fun things to see—for big guys, little guys, mamas, and princesses. Come early.
CWJC to host September classes
CWJC/Transformation Pathway will be holding its September Tuesday series of classes next month.
Sept. 3 will be a resume writing workshop, Sept. 10 will be a job search workshop, Sept. 17 will be interviewing techniques and Sept. 24 will be a mock interview workshop.
Those who pre-register for the free classes will receive $5 in store bucks to spend at the CWJC Thrift Store.
