Jeff ‘Chili’ A l e x a n d e r , incumbent for Justice of the Peace for Erath County, Precincts 1, 3 and 4 is seeking re-election against challenger Melissa Sanchez Ferguson for the March 3 Republican Primary.
Alexander has served in this capacity for three years, and if re-elected, it would be his second term as Justice of the Peace.
Prior to that, he served the community for 31 years as a police officer for the Tarleton State University Police Department.
“The role of Justice of the Peace is, at its core, about service. I strive to serve with fairness, integrity, and respect, and to be available and present whenever I’m needed. In this position, we preside over both criminal and civil cases, but we also walk alongside individuals during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives, helping families navigate the loss of a loved one, and officiate weddings for members of the community,” he said. “These are the values I am committed to every single day. With your vote and your continued trust, I look forward to serving the citizens of Erath County for another four years.”
