Larry James Herron II, 22, from DeLeon was killed in a single vehicle accident Friday, July 26.
According to DPS reports,Herron was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla on State Hwy. 206, north of Burkett in Coleman County.
He was reportedly travelling south on Hwy. 206 in heavy fog. DPS stated he was operating the vehicle too fast for the conditions and Herron drove straight through a curve, leaving the roadway, and then attempted to drive back to the road and overcorrected. The vehicle was in a side skid off the roadway in a ditch, struck a culvert and overturned. He was unrestrained by a seatbelt and was ejected.
He was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Vickie Kemp.
