10% voting turnout elects ISD board

Cole Leatherwood and incumbent Ryan Mitchell have been elected to the Dublin ISD school board after the May 2 local election.

Overall for the May election, there were 20,134 registered voters in the county with 1,183 ballots cast, or 5.88% voting turnout throughout the entire county.

For Dublin ISD, there are 3,997 voters and there were 426 votes cast, or 10.65% voting in the DISD school board race.

Cole Leatherwood received 176 votes (52.38%), Ryan Mitchell received 105 (35.25%) and Blanca Martineau received 55 votes (16.37%).

For Stephenville ISD, there are 16,137 registered voters and 970 votes were cast, or 6%.

Jason Smith was elected to Place 4 for Stephenville ISD receiving 556 votes (58.60%) while Jill McAngus received 396 votes (41.60%).

For city of Stephenville, there are 9,935 registered voters and 668 votes were cast, or 6.72%.

For City Council Place 2, incumbent Gerald Cook was re-elected with 478 votes (76.48%) with challenger Jorge Moreno receiving 147 votes (23.52%).

Unopposed incumbent Mayor Lonn Reisman was re-elected with 568 votes (100%).

Unopposed incumbent Place 4 City Councilmember Dean Parr was re-elected with 559 votes (100%).

Unopposed Place 6 City Councilmember Ricky Thurman was elected with 571 votes (100%).

Unopposed Place 8 incumbent City Councilmember Alan Nix was re-elected with 579 votes (100%).
