Incoming Senior Emma Mitchell has started a T-shirt campaign in order to aid those who have been effected or lost loved ones at Camp Mystic.
“After learning on July 6 about all the flooding and about all the girls at Camp Mystic who lost their lives it really broke my heart,” Mitchell said on a social media post.
Mitchell designed the t-shirts with a Texas outline, a small heart and the verse John 1:5 “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”
$10 from each shirt purchased will benefit Camp Mystic and sales will end Aug. 11.
Students, parents and teachers are encouraged to purchase a shirt and wear them to Dublin’s first pep rally and football game Sept. 5 which is being dedicated to Camp Mystic.
Those who live inside Erath County do not have to pay for shipping, but those outside there will be an additional shipping charge.
