The second annual Lone Star Equipment Show and Tractor Pull is set for the DeLeon Community Park on April 8 and April 9.

New this year is a high school level Ag Mechanics contest open to all and overseen by Ranger College. Judging on the ag mechanics show will be 3 p.m. on April 8.

With new residents coming from all different places, the Equipment show is the best place for people to meet vendors and show off new equipment.

The Equipment Show is on Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and free to the public.

Local vendors for this event include Bramlett, Bayer Motor Company, Mixer Center, Tractor Center, APM, US Sand and Gravel, Landmark Equipment, Livingston Machinery ROMCO, Temple Bolt and Nextlink.

The event will also feature raffles for a Colonial Gun Safe and an electric John Deere tractor with loader.

The tractor pull starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 8 and at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.

The event will feature power performances locals like Pete Riola and Dustin Riola (The Bone Collector), Jason Glueck (Brutus), Herman Glueck (Popeye). Wayne Wienecke (Tinkerbell) and Mark Dempsey (Sticker Stock).

Admission to the Tractor Pull is $10 per person with kids age 5 and under are free.

Pit Passes are available for $30 and all admission is per day.
