DISD beats state scores

Dublin ISD once again soared past state average in the state assessment test results that were recently released.

“We are above the state in every grade and each subject,” said DISD Superintendent Melissa Summers. “I am so very proud of our students and staff. This was probably one of the most challenging years for educators, but our effort and perseverance paid off.”

Dublin ISD results from STAAR/EOC are as follows:

3rd Grade

Reading: 96% (State: 68%)

Math: 99% (61%)

4th Grade

Reading: 74% (63%)

Math: 86% (53%)

5th Grade

Reading: 87% (72%)

Math: 84% (69%)

Science: 84% (61%)

6th Grade

Reading: 79% (61%)

Math: 91% (66%)

7th Grade

Reading: 79% (68%)

Math: 68% (54%)

Writing: 73% (61%)

8th Grade

Reading: 82% (72%)

Math: 84% (60%)

Science: 82% (67%)

Social Studies: 69% (56%)

High School

English: 79% (66%)

English II: 84 % (70%)

Biology: 99% (81%)
