Transformation Pathway, Dublin’s resident Christian Women’s/Men’s Job Corps, has announced new classes starting Feb. 1 and the return of the Love Run 5k and mile fun run on Feb. 12.
Spring Classes
The CWJC ministry offers a no-cost way for those looking to improve their job skills to learn things like computer skills, money management, cooking and sewing while providing valuable faith based lessons to help provide a fresh start at home and work.
The 12-week program starts Feb. 1 and includes lunch and counseling. Those interested in the program can call 254-445- 2228 or come by 106 N. Patrick (the ministry’s Will Do Good Thrift Market).
Love Run
The 4th Annual Love Run 5k and Mile Fun Run is set for Feb. 12 by the Dublin Public Library with registration/check-in from 8 a.m.-8:45 a.m.
Those registering for the 5K by Tuesday, Feb. 1 can save some cash and get a special commemorative T-shirt. Pre-registration fees are $25 for adults and $20 for runners 17 and under. After Feb. 1, the price increases to $30 for adults and $25 for runners 17 and younger.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall and in several age divisions.
Registration for the fun run/walk is free. Medals will be provided to all fun run participants.(No shirts will be given in the fun run.)
The 5k will start at 9 a.m. on race day followed by the fun run at 9:15 a.m.
Packets can be picked up at the CWJC Will Do Good Thrift Market (106 N. Patrick) on Friday, Feb. 11 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
