Judith Robbins Lemons (who helped raise money for the Dublin City Pool when she was in elementary school) cut the ribbon on the 2021 season with the help of lifeguards, Dublin Historical Society President Ben Pate, Dublin Mayor David Leatherwood and City Secretary Melissa Minor. Although the water was cool, the promise of free admission, hot dogs and ice cream brought many smiling kids to the opening.
The city pool is open to the public from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Children 2 and under and non-swimmers enter for free. The entry fee is $1 for all swimmers over the age of 2.
Pool Parties are available Tuesday through Sunday in two-hour (5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., 8 p.m.-10 p.m.) and four-hour blocks (6 p.m.-10 p.m.). The cost is $120 for two-hours and $240 for four hours for up to 50 swimmers covered by two lifeguards. Extra lifeguards for bigger parties are an extra $30.
The pool will be closed for both public swimming and parties on Mondays.
