The city of Dublin is offering the citizens two chances to get moving with spring cleaning with a city-wide garage sale weekend and an annual community clean up day.

“The scheduled events are great opportunities for citizens to come together and help keep Dublin looking great,” Police Chief and Interim City Manager Cameron Ray said. “It’s all part of building a stronger, cleaner, more connected and more cohesive community - something that I believe we should all support 100%! We are working hard to make positive changes and these events are just the beginning of our plans to improve this great community.”

For the weekend of May 24, the city will be waiving all garage sale permits and putting together a list of those participating in order to help shoppers find local treasures.

Contact City Hall to provide the address of the garage sale at 254-445-3331.

On Saturday, May 31, the city will be hosting the annual community clean up day from 8 a.m. to noon at Dublin Public Works located at 602 N. Norton Street.

The event is being hosted in conjunction with Waste Connections which will have large dumpsters on-site to aid with disposal needs.

Accepted items will include general household junk, yard debris, furniture and nonhazardous waste.

The city cannot accept tires, electronics, hazardous materials such as paint, freon, or any pressurized gas canisters.

If you need help hauling items, please contact the city in advance. Volunteers are also needed to assist with the event. If you would like to help, call 254- 445- 3331.
