Comanche County Museum to host Mother's Day lunch

The Comanche County Museum is inviting you and your family to celebrate Mother’s Day with a lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 11.

The museum is located at 402 Moorman Rd. Flowers donated by Comanche Florist will be decorating the museum.

Indulge in a variety of dishes, featuring: glazed ham from Pederson Farms, Polynesian meatballs with Pederson Farms sausage and Artesian Ranch ground beef, macaroni and cheese, classic peas and carrots medley, three bean salad, broccoli salad, cucumbers, tomatoes and red onion salad, fresh fruit medley, a variety of delicious desserts, hot dogs for kids and beverages.

This special event is by donation only, with all contributions supporting the preservation of Comanche County’s rich history. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Dublin ISD Band Concert Thursday 

Dublin ISD is inviting everyone to the spring band concert featuring the high school symphonic band, high school jazz band, junior high concert band and the 6th grade beginning band.

The concert is free admission and kicks off at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 8 at the Dublin Secondary School Gym No. 1.

There will be nachos with a drink and dessert sold for $10 starting at 5 p.m. before the concert. People are also welcome to take a picture with the 360 booth for a small fee or donation.

May 10 bullriding event moved to July 
The May 10 bullriding event Montas De Toros has been canceled for this weekend, and rescheduled to coincide with the National Day of the Cowboy event set for July 26 at the Dublin City Park Arena.

The open bullriding event will benefit the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum and Living Legends Hall of Fame. Admission will be $10 and 8 and under is free.

Stephenville Music Club to meet Thursday

The Stephenville Music Club monthly meeting will be held at noon Thursday, May 8 in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church (Stephenville).

Kelijon Nance will present the program 'Award Winning Songs of the 2020's.'

Following the program, there will be a potluck lunch.

Dublin Pool to open with free event

The city of Dublin will be hosting opening day of the City Pool from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 24.

There will be free admission for city of Dublin residents with proof of residency. There will be hot dogs and ice cream while supplies last, as well as bounce houses and water slides. Regular pool hours will be noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday. There will also be opportunities for pool rentals and regular admission is $3 per swimmer.
