Summer Meals Program offered
Dublin ISD is once again hosting their summer meals program at Dublin Intermediate School through Thursday, June 27 Monday through Thursday.
Children and teens ages 18 and younger and enrolled students with disabilities up to 21 years old can eat healthy throughout the summer at no cost.
Breakfast is served Monday through Thursday from 7-8 a.m. and Lunch Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
Library seeking BTS Fair donations
The Dublin Public Library is seeking donations for its annual Back-to-School Fair set for July 27. Donations needed include hygiene items (such as hand sanitizer, chap stick, deodorant, shampoo etc.), Clorox wipes and tissue as well as new socks, along with new or like-new makeup bags. Financial donations are also being accepted. Donations can be dropped off at the Dublin Public Library from now through July 20. The library is located at 206 W. Blackjack St.
Men's Health program set for Saturday, June 22
Texas Health is partnering with other community organizations to host Man Up for Men’s Health from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 22 at Stephenville Senior Center, located at 164 E. College Street.
June is Men’s Health Awareness Month, so join Texas Health, Main Street Stephenville, city of Stephenville and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension for a free come-and-go community program focused on issues that affect men’s health.
There will be refreshments provided, resource vendors, door prize drawings and a variety of speakers.
The free event is open to men of all ages.
Blood drive scheduled for Sunday, June 23
The Dublin Rotary Club is sponsoring a blood drive in honor of Josey Roman from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, June 23.
The Carter BloodCare Bus will be at the Station next to the First National Bank in Dublin, located at 825 N. Patrick. To schedule an appointment go to carterbloodcare.org.
Blood drive scheduled for Tuesday, June 25 in Comanche
A blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Comanche County Medical Center (CCMC), 10201 TX-16, Comanche. Donations will be accepted in the Hendrick Blood Mobile which will be parked in front of Doctors Medical Center care clinic and the CCMC Hospital.
Comanche Museum to host summer events
Comanche Museum is having several events for the summer. Everyone’s favorite Granny will return to read at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11. There are also new and interesting kids books for sale.
There is also a display of pictured that were painted by local artists about local areas of Comanche County. This includes paintings of Bernice Jones which were donated to the museum.
An Old Fashioned Games Day at the museum at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 20. Everyone is invited to come play games from their youth.
