Erath county officials reported 31 new COVID-19 cases in the report from Thursday night. Ten of these cases were residents within the city limits of Stephenville, two were from Dublin and 19 were rural residents of the county.
Total deaths since March were reported at 25 by the Department of State Health Services.
Total COVID-19 cases increased by 160 (1,934 to 2,094) in the week from the Dec. 10 update to Thursday night’s report, while active cases decreased from 406 to 345.
Recovered cases were reported at 1,724 on Thursday, up from 1,506 from the week before.
Hospitalizations since March rose from 87 to 92 in the past week.
County officials remind residents that according to the Texas Department of State Health Services, there are things everyone can do to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:
- Wear a face covering in public
- Stay six feet apart
- Wash or sanitize hands often
- If sick, get tested and stay at home
- Stay home when possible
