Sophomore class – Miss Mary McBride, President; Miss Gladys Lee Pipes, Vice President; Miss Ethlelee Heard, Secretary and Treasurer.
Freshman class – Aleene Scott, President; Isla Marie Tally, Vice President; Weldon McClesky, Secretary and Treasurer.
The student body elected Ollis Walden, W.M. Pittman, Louise Spencer and Lillie Phillips as yell leaders for the year “23” and “24”.
They have succeeded in creating much enthusiasm among the students and faculty.
75 years ago Oct. 15, 1946
Replete with all new features and bright new equipment, seal bros. Circus will exhibit at the High School football field here in Dublin Wednesday, Oct. 20. Bringing to this city a circus which offers twohours of jam-packed, clean wholesome entertainment Seal Bros. Circus and animal exhibition is sure to please both young and old alike with all the music, glamour, sawdust and spangles needed to enhance and present a performance that will bring thrills and laughs to all who attend.
50 years ago Oct. 11, 1973
An impossible dream is fast becoming a reality for all the Community Chest workers. Everyone said it couldn’t be done but we still believe we can go over the top in 3 weeks time.
Monday, Oct. 8 after just two weeks we have over 60 per cent of our goal with $3115.55 turned in. We believe this is a record and if all the workers who are still working their list, will turn in what money they have already to the area chairman we will be almost there.

A five person committee will meet Saturday to screen 20 candidates for the position of Dublin police chief.
The group, appointed by City Manager Corrin McGrath, will meet again Saturday, Oct. 24 to interview five candidates and will submit recommendations on two or three to McGrath.
Following the background checks on final candidates, McGrath will select on candidate for approval by the city council with the hope of having the new chief on board by mid-November.
