Patrons to the Dublin Public Library will find a wide variety of new selections to accompany its fresh redesign from the end of last year and worthwhile programs.

From fables about people eating books to absorb power to historical fiction about vampires at the time of the Mexican-American War to a contemplative diaryof asonexamining his relationship with his late father while in the belly of a whale, there is a lot of creativity just added to the stacks.

Step in the library to find the following new additions and more!

■ Whalefall by Daniel Kraus Also in the new additions is “Starkweather: The Untold Story of the Killing Spree That Changed America.” Multiple copies of the book are available as it is is the first selection in the newly-formed Crimes and Clues Book Club. They will meet to discuss the book on Friday, March 22 at 6 p.m.

The Saturday book club will meet to discuss “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m.

Toddler Time continues every Thursday for kids 6 months to 2 years with storytime and activities at 10 a.m.

On March 1 at 10 a.m. County Extension Agent Andrea Brooks will present Health Talk Express: Diabetes Basics.

The Library is also hosting the monthly workforce outreach by Workforce Solutions Friday, March 1 at 2 p.m.

Workforce Solutions offers help to career seekers, entrepreneurs, small business owners, youth, apprenticeships, and more.

The Library is located at 206 W. Blackjack. Is is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
