Election season is officially underway as readers gathered at the Dublin Public Library to vote on 2024 selections for the Saturday Book club which meets the last Saturday of the month as well as the newly formed Crimes and Clues horror/ mystery/true crime book club meeting the last Friday of each month at 6 p.m.

February selections are “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman for the Saturday group and “Starkweather: The Untold Story of the Killing Spree that Changed American” by Harry N. MacLean for Crimes and Clues. Interested readers can come by the library to check out the selections.

If you’re looking for a new partner for Valentine’s the Library has a Blind Date (with a Book) fundraiser starting Tuesday, Feb. 6. Games and books will be wrapped and identified by age group for patrons to check out for something new and mysterious.

Spanish Classes and English Classes are being held Wednesday and Thursday nights respectively at 6 p.m. with Bill Rodriguez providing lessons.

The Library is hosting the first monthly workforce outreach by Workforce Solutions Friday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.

Workforce Solutions offers help career seekers, entrepreneurs, small business owners, youth, apprenticeships, and more.

The Library is located at 206 W. Blackjack. Is is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.
