I want to thank Dublin First Baptist Church for making your parking lot available and assisting with the Tarrant County Food Bank distribution Wednesday, September 2.
Thank you to HOPE for coordinating this effort and sending volunteers to teach us how to handle the packing and distribution efficiently.
Thank you to Grace Place Ministries (Stephenville First Baptist Church) for sending volunteers to help.
Thank you Dublin Rotary and Lions Clubs for volunteering, as always, when there is a way to help your neighbors in Dublin.
142 families with a total of 533 family members were served in an hour and a half.
I believe that the numbers would have been higher if we had more time to get the word out locally.
Plans are in the works now to coordinate with Tarrant County Food Bank for another Dublin Pantry, hopefully with more time to inform our citizens about the date. It would be a blessing to our area to have this event scheduled monthly.
