Faith: From Death to Life

Body

Thought: Without the resurrection of Jesus there would be no hope for a better tomorrow. There is one thing mankind has in common; we all die. For some it is a dreadful thought and for others it’s a time of peace and joy. Here’s the reason why: Heb. 2:14,15,16,18 “Since we, God’s children are human being—made of flesh and blood—he became flesh and blood too by being born in human form: for only as a human being could he die and in dying break the power of the devil who had the power of death. Only in that way could he deliver those who through fear of death have been living all their lives as slaves to constant dread. We all know he did not come as an angel but as a human being—yes, a Jew. For since he himself has now been through suffering and temptation, he knows what it is like when we suffer and are tempted and he is wonderfully able to help us.” Christ was the sacrifice for sin giving all who believed in him eternal life.

Eph. 4:8,9,10 “The Psalmist tells us about this, for he says that when Christ returned triumphantly to heaven after his resurrection and victory over Satan, he gave generous gifts to men. Notice that it says he returned to heaven. This means that he first come down from the heights of heaven, far down to the lowest parts of the earth. The same one who came down is the one who went back up, that he might fill all things everywhere with himself, from the very lowest to the very highest (Holy Spirit).

Death came into the world through Adams disobedience to God’s instructions. It took a sinless person (Jesus) to defeat the hold Satan had over humanity. Jesus defeated death through his resurrection.

I Cor. 15:32b,33 “If we will never live again after we die, then we might as well go have ourselves a good time: let us eat, drink, and be merry. What’s the difference? For tomorrow we die and that ends everything. Don’t be fooled by those who say such things. If you listen to them, you might start acting like them. Get some sense and quit your sinning.”

Jesus walked with the disciples for 40 days after his resurrection in his glorified body and even ate with them. A revelation of what it will be like in our new bodies like Christs that will live on forever.

This is the blessed hope all believers have. An eternal life with Jesus in heaven. HE AROSE FROM THE GRAVE !
