Those who love the yummy goodness of delicious macaroni and cheese may want to check out a fundraiser this weekend for a great cause with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Erath County.
The Big Cheese will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Bosque River TapHouse and will feature amateur and professional cooks.
As long as the weather cooperates, the event will be held outdoors on the patio and each attendee will get a 2-ounce sample of each and every mac and cheese entry.
“The TapHouse is such a perfect venue to enjoy a Saturday afternoon event,” BBBS Erath Executive Director Sarah McNeal-Weaver said. “All of the money raised will stay local in Erath County.”
Tickets for tastings are $25 for adults and $10 for children, and organizers are asking attendees to buy their tickets in advance so the chefs know exactly how much mac and cheese to prepare.
A ticket will also allow people to vote for their favorite dish for a people’s choice award.
