Halloween in Dublin a Terrific Success

Thank you, Dublin, for an amazing Halloween! From a terrific turnout of more than 600 for Safe Trick or Treating; a successful “Haunted Hogan’s Alley”; great participation by area businesses; safety ensured by our Dublin Police Department and local Lions Club; hundreds of pounds of candy; magnificent costumes and awesome kids of all ages … Dublin was the place to be on Friday night, Oct. 29. Thank you all for making it possible.

Halloween Decorations a Highlight

As you drove through Dublin in the past few weeks, you have had to have noticed the uptick in decorated homes and businesses. If we keep up this trend, we will be a destination for folks in the area looking to enjoy Halloween to its fullest. Great work, Dublin!

As you know, the Dublin Chamber of Commerce invited homes, businesses, churches and nonprofits to enter the Halloween Decorations Contest. Two prizes were awarded: the People’s Choice and the Judges’ Choice.

Visitors to the Facebook Dublin Chamber o f Commerce page voted for their favorite decorated locations, and the People’s Choice honors go to Georgia Gasparek at 321 N. Patrick. Congratulations Georgia!

The Judges’ Choice was selected by the Chamber Board of Directors. This year’s winner of the Judges’ Choice for Best Holiday Decoration is Salyer Chiropractic, located at 200 E. Blackjack.

Next year, be sure to see if you can out-do the current winners. Let’s see how spooky we can make Dublin in 2022.

New Chamber Member

We have another new Chamber member: Big’s 105 Convenience Store located at 505 E. Blackjack. Under new management since August 2021, the folks at Big’s are eagerly looking forward to the arrival of new gas pumps to better serve customers. Keep your eye on this local business -- they are planning some exciting things for the future. Welcome to the Chamber!

Are We Hitting the Mark?

The Chamber’s role is to improve business for Dublin. How can we help local businesses reach their goals? I’m at 110 S. Patrick and 254/300-6263, and look forward to hearing your insight. The Chamber Welcome Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
