Comanche Extension Agent Michael Berry
Comanche County Cotton Program
While cotton is not the biggest group in the county, it is still a valuable crop with sales over $1 million annually.
To support the continent industry in the county, the Comanche AgriLife Extension Office will be hosting the Comanche County Cotton Program. This informative program will be held Thursday, January 23rd from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the De Leon City Auditorium. Benjamin McKnight, State Extension Cotton Specialist, will be covering seed technologies, variety performance, and insect and disease updates. John R.C. Robinson, Extension Specialist for Cotton Marketing, will be discussing current cotton economics, marketing, and policy.
We will also have a round table discussion with these specialists to help answer any additional questions you might have.
This program is packed full of valuable information, and we will be offering 1 IPM CEU. There is no charge to attend the program, and lunch will be provided by our great local sponsors. Please RSVP to (325)356-2539 so we can have a head count for the meal.
