DISTRICT 8 FARM AND RANCH SEMINAR, December 11th ( Multi- County CEU event)
A multi-county Farm and Ranch Seminar for farmers and ranchers conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in District 8 is scheduled for December 14, 2023. The Erath, Hood and Hamilton County location will be held at the Annex III 222 East College Street, Stephenville. Registration will begin at 7 a.m.
The December 11th seminar will give participants the opportunity to receive up to eight CEUs. Topics include Corn Pest Management, Tyler Mayes, extension Program Specialist; Importance of Weed Management in Hay Pastures, Dr. Vanessa Olson, Forage Extension Specialist; New World Screwworm Update, Dr. Sonjia Swiger, Extension Entomologist; TDA Updates on Laws & Regulations, Dr. Don Renchie, Extension Pesticide Safety Program; Mode of Action, Zach Howard, Extension Program Specialist; Forage Pest Update & Forage Pest Management Techniques, Dr. David Kerns, Extension State IPM Entomology; Bee Management Techniques & Pollinator Updates, Garett Slater, Extension Honey Bee Entomologist.
Licensed commercial and non-commercial applicators will be able to obtain their required five hours within the first five hours of the program.
Program registration cost is $60, which includes lunch, breaks and handout materials.
