Two great programs coming up in September and October
Landowner and Homeowner Program to Be Held in Stephenville September 16th.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Erath County and the Texas Forestry Service will host a Landowner/ Homeowner Tree Program on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Courthouse Annex III, located at 222 East College Street in Stephenville.
The featured speaker will be Kimberlee Peterson, a specialist with the Texas A&M Forest Service, who will present on tree diseases, identification and treatment.
If you are having problem with your trees, bring photos of the leaves, trunks, branches and roots and we will be glad to help diagnose the trees issue.
We are both getting a lot of calls and this would be a great opportunity to get your questions answered.

Cattle Gathering Beef Program The Texas AgriLife Extension Office in Erath and Comanche County will be hosting a Beef Cattle Gathering Program, October 30th, 2025, at The Station FNB, 815 North Patrick in Dublin. The program will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with lunch provided by local sponsors.
Program topics will include New World Screwworm with Dr. Sonja Swiger, Professor/ Entomology Extension Specialist; Beef Cattle Nutrition and Hay Quality with Dr. Jason Cleere, Professor / Extension Beef Cattle Specialist, Beef Cattle Market: Where Do We Go from Here, with Dr. Jason Johnson, Associate Professor / Extension Economist for Management.
1 IPM CEU will be offered to producers with a private applicator license.
