The Lingleville Lady Cardinal powerlifting team took fifth place at the DeLeon Invitational meet Thursday, Feb. 15.
Contributing to the teams’ fifth place finish were:
■ June Mendenhall, 2nd in the 181 with a total of 685 (280 squat, 125 bench and 280 dead lift)
■ Rosio Hernandez, 3rd in the 105 with a total of 440 (160 squat, 85 bench and 1955 dead lift)
■ Maira Hernandez, 4th in the 105 with a total of 410 (160 bench, 80 bench and 170 dead lift)
■ Samantha Tamayo, 4th in the 181 with a total of 655 (235 squat, 140 bench and 280 dead lift)
■ Jazmin Martinez, 5th in the 97 with a total of 275 (105 squat, 55 bench and 115 dead lift)
■ Kenleigh Jones, 5th in the 132 with a total of 460 (145 squat, 100 bench and 215 dead lift) Also placing for Lingleville in the men’s competition was Zayne Zint who took 3rd in the 308 with a total of 395 (125 squat, 100 bench and 170 dead lift).
