Body

BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 64-67 degrees; 8.79 feet below pool. Black bass to 6.67 pounds are good on topwater walking baits, jigs, and crankbaits in 1-8 feet of water on beds. The bass are nearly done spawning with parts of the lake in post spawn. Crappie good around the lake in 2-5 feet of water spawning. White bass are good and spawning. Fish are scattered along rocky shorelines and in the lights at night biting crankbaits or small swimbaits. Catfish are good to 30 pounds on cut bait near the flats and spawning areas using jugs.

GRANBURY

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 62 degrees; 1.56 feet below pool. Striped bass are good throughout the reservoir along channel ledges and near flats using swimbaits, umbrellarigs and live bait.

POSSUM

KINGDOM

GOOD. Water clear; 64-68 degrees; 5.44 feet below pool. Striper fishing is good using live shad and jigs in 20-40 feet of water. The best jig colors are white, chartreuse, and red. Sand bass are fair on small jigs, slabs and divers in 15-32 feet of water. White and chartreuse are good colors. Catfish are fair using cut shad and cut carp fished on bottom in 10-30 feet of water. Water clarity is to 4-16 feet, depending on location on the lake.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 66 degrees; 9.62 feet below pool. Blue catfish are biting best at night in deeper water. Marking fish on ledges and deeper structure from 10-18 feet of water. Shad are hard to find, and the day bite is slow.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water stained; 65 degrees; 8.02 feet below pool. Bass are fair in the final days of the spawn biting on chatterbaits, flukes and spinnerbaits. Crappie are fair on deeper brush piles in the main lake. Catfish are fair off the rocks on shad and cut bait. White bass are slow on slabs.

WHITNEY

GREAT. Water lightly stained; 66 degrees; 5.69 feet below pool. Striped bass are great throughout the reservoir on or near flats and near channel edges casting or trolling swimbaits or umbrella-rigs. Fishing with live shad is working especially
