GRANBURY
SLOW. Water slightly stained; 56-59 degrees; 7.97 feet below pool. Bass are good to 3.5 pounds in 6-15 feet of water on jigs, underspins and squarebill crankbaits. Crappie are slow on minnows in brush piles in 12-15 feet of water. White bass are slow on jigs. Catfish are slow drifting with cut shad.
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 60 degrees; 2.34 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures are in the middle to upper 50s and this colder weather has been bringing on the bite. Striped bass are good to seven pounds on the lower ends in 20-30 feet of water on jerkbaits and swimbaits worked real slow. Crappie are excellent to two pounds on jigs fished near bridge structure and near docks near town and on the upper ends. Sand bass are fair on slabs and jigs worked in 15-25 feet of water near Indian Harbor and near Sandy Point. Big blue catfish are biting on cut bait fished on shallow flats on the upper ends. Black bass fishing is good on soft plastics near creek entrances and on feeding flats. Blacks up to six pounds can be taken.
POSSUM KINGDOM
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 53-57 degrees; 5.89 feet below pool. Striper fishing is good in 20-40 feet of water with live bait being the key to the catch. Sand bass are on fire using chartreuse, white or pink slabs in 20-30 feet of water. Catfish are good on cut shad fished shallow in 5-15 feet of water. Water clarity is 2-4 feet of water.
PROCTOR
SLOW. Water stained; 62 degrees; 8.81 feet below pool. Target catfish on windblown banks, then step out deeper to look for fish. Use electronics to locate bait and fish.
WEATHERFORD
FAIR. Water lightly stained; 50 degrees; 7.02 feet below pool. Look for birds to lead the way to the baitfish, and where there is bait there will be fish. Crappie are fair to good on the deeper main lake on brush piles with live minnows. Catfish are fair off rocks near the dam with cut bait and stink bait. White bass are slow on slabs. Bass are slow and chasing bait so cover lots of water with swimbaits, and crankbaits.
WHITNEY
GOOD. Water lightly stained; 63 degrees; 7.13 feet below pool. Striped bass are good in deep water using slabs and swimbaits. Look for large schools of birds with fish feeding underneath. Report by James Moore, North Texas Bass Fishing and Cmoore Striper Guide Services. Striped badd are great using umbrella-rigs, swimbaits or flukes throughout the reservoir. White, chartreuse, bubble gum and orange colors are the best colors. Fish along channel edges or flats. Look for diving birds. Before casting, park aways outside of the birds, moving closer with your trolling motor.
