BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 3.68 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 5.68 pounds on Hag’s F5 tornados in Blue flake on the ledges with shaky heads and on cranks off the rocks and brush piles in 12-20 feet around the mid lake to upper end early and late. Crappie are slow around docks with brush on minnows in 15-18 feet. White bass are fair on crappie jigs, trolling crankbaits. There is some schooling action all over the lake but fish do not stay up long. Catfish are good with catches up to 8 pounds on prepared bait at baited hole and drifting cut baits on the main lake flats.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 0.87 feet below pool. Water temperature continues to be in the upper 80s to low 90s with no relief in sight. Thermoclines are present on many areas of the lake and is typically from 15-25 feet down. Striped bass fishing is hit-and-miss on live bait and trolled jigs with curly trailers. Alabama rigs are also putting striped bass in the boat. Largemouth bass are good early and late near creek entrances and near deeper docks. Best baits for largemouthincludecrankbaits and soft plastics. Some early morning topwater action is possible on lipless crankbaits or topwaters..

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 1.08 feet below pool. Striper is fair to slow. Live bait is putting a few fish in the boat every trip. Downriggers are very slow at the moment. Any kind of artificial bait is fishing slow at the moment. Look for them in 30-50 feet of water. Sand bass are still slow in 10-20 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs. You may need to cast to the fish to keep from spooking them out of the area. white and silver are good colors. Catfish are fair on cut shad and your favorite brand of stink bait, also known as punch bait, in 5-20 feet of water fished on or near the bottom.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 3.78 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species. Catfish are slow but can be caught from the bank on punch bait, in deep with cut bait, or on jug lines.

WEATHERFORD

SLOW. Water heavily stained; 87 degrees; 2.85 feet below pool. The lake is heavily stained with about 6 inches of visibility compared to the normal 1 foot. Catfish are slow along the rocks with cut bait and shad. Crappie are fair to good on rocks and brush with minnows. Bass are slow on deeper water ledges with crankbaits and soft plastics.

WHITNEY

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 87 degrees; 0.32 feet below pool. Catfish are fair using cut shad in 25-35 feet of water. Striped bass bite is slow on live bait in 25 feet of water.
