Cards succeed in OT, face Huckabay

The Lingleville Cardinals are playing the Huckabay Indians Friday night at around 7:30 p.m. in Cross Plains to determine who has second place seating in their District. (The game will immediately follow the Huckabay girls’ playoff game.) See for the Cardinal’s play-off game information, which will be either Monday or Tuesday night.

This follows a nail-biter between the district rivals Friday night on the Lingleville gym floor.

The fierce game ended 41-41 at the end of the fourth quarter and leading in to overtime. The Cardinals were able to secure a 45-44 victory in the fray. Top scorers for Lingleville were Luke Miller with 17 points, Ivan Rangel with 10 points and Felipe Flores with 8 points.

The Cardinals followed this game with a 75-25 triumph over Three Way Tuesday at home. Miller once again led scoring with 20 points, followed by Rangel with 17, Flores with 8 and Brock Gage with 7.
