Cards clinch title
The Lingleville Lady Cardinals set two more opponents on the volleyball court this week to claim the District title for the first time in 16 years.
Tuesday’s W happened at home when the Lady Cards conquered the Gustine Lady Tigers, who were only able to put up 8, 13 and 5 before the home team scored their 25s.
The first win came in a home game against the Zephyr Lady Bulldogs, in which Lingleville’s opponents only got to score 7, 7 and 2 in three sets.
These wins raise he Lingleville Lady Cardinals’ team to 11-1 in District and 28-5 overall for the season.
The Lady Cardinals will return to the home court Friday at 5 p.m. to take on the Gorman Lady Panthers.
