Dr. Donald “Doc” C. Stewart, age 76, died peacefully at his home in Dublin, TX on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, after a long battle with cancer.

Donald was born on February 20, 1945, to the late Edith (Shangraw) Stewart and Herbert C. Stewart, Jr., in Norwood, MA, and he grew up in Franklin, MA. After graduating from Franklin High School in 1962, he spent a few years in the Navy and then moved to Texas to attend Texas Chiropractic College. He settled in Dublin and owned Stephenville Chiropractic Clinic for over 35 years.

“Doc” was known for living life on his terms. He was an avid skydiver and also a pilot. He enjoyed spending time running fence lines with his granddogs and cutting things up (sometimes off). He was known for being quietly supportive from the sidelines and leaving a gathering without saying goodbye or goodnight.

Doc is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lois (Woods) Stewart of Dublin; his daughter, Robyn (Stewart) White, DO and husband Andrew of Derry, NH, their daughter, Camryn White and son, Nathan White; his son, Daniel Stewart, MD and wife Stacee of Brownwood, TX; sister, Janet Recke Larsh of Colorado. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A private “ash dive” will be held at Skydive Spaceland in Houston on May 15, 2021. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Doc’s memory to Meals On Wheels of Erath County, where he served on the Board of Directors for 25 years. Cremation Services were entrusted to Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood. Online condolences for the family are welcome at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
