A Memorial Service at will be Friday, April 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel and visitors are welcome 30 minutes prior to the services. Family and Friends are welcome to join us directly following the service to share their love and stories over dinner for her Celebration of Life at Dana and Randy Worrell’s barn near Chalk Mountain, TX.

Marsha Rene Rice was born June 21, 1963 to Garner Elgene Rice and Bennie Verita (Butler) Rice in Gorman, TX.  She was raised amongst the tight-knit rural community of Lingleville where she graduated and developed a reputation for her spirit on the basketball court at Lingleville High School in 1981.

After earning her business certification from Central Texas Commercial College, Marsha set off to make a living and established herself as a personnel recruiter, office manager and work in retail. Marsha continued living life to the fullest and building a great network of loyal and cherished friendships.

Amongst some connections that Marsha held most dear were with her animals, and specifically cats. She engaged in a life of travel and revelry and spread an abundance of joy through her gift of love and laughter. Marsha loved the Lord and had a strong personal relationship with her creator. She was a strong woman blessed with many talents as a story teller, entertainer, friend, care giver, poet, sister, aunt, and daughter.

Never to be forgotten, Marsha is survived by sister, Dana Worrell and husband Randy; brother, Benny Rice and wife Denean; soul sistas, Beverly Morrison, Barbara Williams, Jeni Anderson; nephews and nieces, Tanner Stasey, Randi and husband Ray Slayton, Rusty and wife Amber Rice; great nieces and nephews, Tristen, Landon, Emma, Kelby, Kelton; and of course, her fur babies Brutus and Bubba.

Special Thanks to Solaris Hospice for their love, care, and compassion.
